We would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity over the past 3+ years. With your help, we have raised over $30,000 and have donated $22,500 to the Office of Patient and Family Assistance at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Other significant donations have been made to the Andrew Sarkisian Memorial Scholarship Fund. With your continued support, many more families will receive much needed financial assistance.
Founded by Judd Schneider, Mike Richton and Tony MacDonald, this organization is designed to provide personalized support to individuals, families, and friends that have been impacted by leukemia. Our goal is to promote leukemia awareness and to offer a forum for both survivors and those who have lost loved ones so they can share their stories and seek support for the many financial and emotional hardships associated with this dreaded disease.
Leukemia affects millions of people each year with an estimated 138,530 new cases in 2008 alone. With these new cases and the millions fighting this disease, comes an entire network of people that are affected, including fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, friends, and co-workers, among many others.
This is how each StopLeukemia co-founder came in touch with the disease. Each of us has our own story inspiring us to start this organization - Our inspirations.
